During my Japan to Washington DC flight I sat next to this 24 year old guy that was perfect in every way. He works as an urban development planner, spent a month working in Indonesia and then half a month backpacking in Nepal. Next month he’s heading to Ecuador for another project. After college he spent some time teaching English in various countries and back packing through Nepal. When I told him I was interested in sustainable agriculture he listed off some books that I should read but I had already read. We shared some really thoughtful conversations on politics, the economy, and agriculture. He is planning on going back to school for the same masters that I want. He told me all about his adventures in India, Barcelona, and Thailand.

Unfortunately for me, as we were attempting to exchange contact information the TSA woman forced us to go to our respective gate areas. Maybe sometime later in our lives our paths will cross again.
